Do I need any experience?
Not at all! Diddit kits are designed for beginners, with clear steps that you can take at your own relaxing pace.
How long does it take?
Most makes take a couple of hours (depending on the design and how detailed you want to get). You get two techniques to try in each kit, so you can choose to do both or one at a time.
But also, then there's all the little left overs (scraps) you get from each technique as nothing is thrown away... And we also share some extra ideas in each kit that you can usually form into another set entirely, so there's plenty in here for you to have a fabulous experience that you might want to try again and again!
How much can I make from each kit?
Each colourway gives you enough clay for a full 1-2 hour making session — typically, using our recipe cards you'll make a 'slab' around 4"square, and from that you'll average around 2–4 pairs of earrings and 1–2 pendants, depending on the cutter sizes you choose. Smaller cutters = more pieces. Bigger cutters = fewer but bolder.
Your leftover clay from both colourways combines into a bonus third session — so you're really getting three rounds of making from every kit.
Findings for up to 15 pairs of earrings, (hooks and studs), a chain for your necklace pendants, and one bracelet with 6 cabochon blanks is included, so you can add a matching bracelet to whichever set you like best.
What’s included in the box?
Absolutely everything you need to make multiple pieces — plus instructions to guide you through. All of our kits contain over 190 pieces so this isn't just your normal 'starter kit'. The tools and equipment are all yours to keep forever, and all in a lovely box to keep everything packed away and tidy.
All you'll need from home is an oven to bake your makes, and when you're out of clay or you fancy trying out different colour schemes or techniques, we have plenty of top-up kits you can purchase as a refill without having to buy the whole kit again!
Is it a good gift?
