Here's what you'll create...

🐚 Classic. Timeless. Effortlessly chic.

Tortoiseshell

Create beautiful imitation Tortoiseshell jewellery using translucent polymer clay, Diddit! alcohol inks, and tiny flecks of black clay.

Every piece builds that classic mottled pattern — warm caramels, rich browns, and dark speckled accents that deepen and blend after baking for a truly authentic finish.

Every shape is cut with our custom-designed cutters and finished with DomeCoat™ glossy resin-effect glaze - giving each piece a smooth, professional finish you won't believe you made yourself.

What you can make:
• Up to 15 pairs of earrings (French hooks + studs)
• Pendants with 16" silver chain
• A bracelet cuff with cabochon settings
• Mix and match shapes with 13 custom cutters

More than enough to keep, gift, and share!

🎁  FREE GIFT: Bonus Colourway

Amber

This kit also includes everything you need to also make the Amber colourway — warm, honeyed tones with golden highlights and flashes of gold leaf that give each piece the natural glow of real fossilised resin.

Similar techniques, but a completely different look.

And, absolutely nothing goes to waste as we share additional methods and ideas that give you even more from your scraps!

With two colourways plus leftover clay, you'll get around three sessions of making — each taking 1–2 hours. On average, that's enough to create 6–12 pairs of earrings, 3–6 pendants, and up to 3 bracelet cuffs, depending on the cutter sizes you choose.

One kit. Two precious stone effects. Endless combinations.

FAQs

Who are these kits designed for?

Diddit! Kits are meticulously designed for adults who want to try something creative, without any prior experience.

Whether it's a solo evening in, a birthday activity, or a hen do - this kit is designed for grown-ups who want to switch off and make something beautiful.

We recommend ages 16+ independently, or 14+ with adult supervision, as the kit involves oven use and small findings.

Do I need any crafting experience?

None at all! You don't even need to be particularly 'creative'!

The instruction booklet walks you through every step with photos - from conditioning your clay to attaching your findings.

If you can follow a recipe, you can do this.

What is polymer clay?

Polymer clay is a non-toxic, oven-bake modelling clay that stays soft and workable until you bake it at 130°C in a standard home oven. There are a few popular premium brands on the market including Cernit, Fimo, and Sculpey, and we have extensively tested all of them for their various properties including bake time, strength, translucency, colour fastness and colourant mixability! The premium clay you receive inside your Diddit! Kit has been specifically selected to ensure it provides the best result for the particular 'recipe' you have chosen.

Once baked, it's lightweight, durable, and waterproof. It's widely used in jewellery making and is completely safe for home use. Do not exceed 130°C and do not microwave. We recommend using an oven thermometer as home ovens can vary. For full technical and safety information, see our [Technical Specs] page.

Cheap versions of polymer clay are available but not recommended, and can become crumbly, weak and/or very difficult to work with.

Are the materials safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. All our findings for earrings are hypoallergenic, silver-plated 301L surgical stainless steel.

Gold-plated options are also available as an add-on if you prefer that finish.

The kit also includes latex-free nitrile gloves in two sizes (M and L).

We've done our best to ensure every material in the kit is safe, considered, and clearly labelled.

What do I do with leftover clay?

Don't throw it away! 'Scraps' from both colourways can be chopped, mixed, pressed, sliced, and cut into a whole new set of unique designs, and it's one of the most satisfying parts. We give you all the tips and ideas for your leftover clay in your instruction booklet.

Unbaked clay doesn't dry out and remains workable again and again until it is cooked. To prevent dust etc however, it should be stored in an airtight bag or wrapped in cling film, away from direct sunlight and heat. It'll stay workable for months, and it's always fun to bring out some balls of scraps to mix in with new refill packs or create interchangeable styles. Check out our Gallery, Customer Makes, Social media and blog for more tips and ideas.

How can I make more or try my own designs?

Head to www.diddit.co.uk for refill packs, extra clay, Diddit! Alcohol Inks™, mica shimmer powders, and replacement tools cutters and blades.

We were keen to make our Diddit! Kits more than just a starter kit - The whole box includes literally everything you might need to continue with this as a hobby if you find you really enjoy it and this will open up a whole new world of interesting ideas and techniques for you to explore!

Once you've got the cutters and tools, you just need a top up of the materials, all of which you can get from our online community shop or other reputable retailers. We also share techniques, methods, and inspiration to help you experiment with your own colourways and styles, so keep an eye on our website and social pages, and make sure you're subscribed to our emails for top tips and new releases!
